You use it with the free Family Photo Buddy client where you can describe your pictures run slide shows make CDs etc. Family Photo Buddy automatically makes thumbnail & medium sized versions of your pictures for efficient viewing. Your server & your users will want to be on a broadband Internet connection for acceptable performance. A few users at a time should be no worse than any other peer to peer traffic as far as your ISP is concerned. You will be limited by your upstream capacity. You can secure your databases with passwords & logins for full privacy & security. Some users can be read only . You will have full control of your image databases end-to-end. No third parties or external web sites will be in the way. Nobody will ask your friends & family for their email addresses. No fees beyond registration. No external DLL or system dependencies make it easy to configure or move around.
